BSA contract with Aker BP

Aker BP has entered a long-term contract with Scale Protection for the purchase of scale monitoring services. Scale Protection will deliver Bulk Scale Analysis (BSA) services to all fields operated by Aker BP, initially for the next 5 years.

The BSA method uses Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) to quantify the presence and type of scale that is filtered from produced water samples.

This will provide the client with an indication of scaling risk and if measures are necessary to prevent further scale deposition.

This partnership has already been established for several years and by this contract is further formalized.
